R3-MYDAS general, multi-actor framework will enable effective implementation of circular value chains for remanufacturing throughout EU.
This framework will be demonstrated and validated through the 3 Project demo cases (Oil & Gas components, Electric vehicle batteries, Wind turbines gearboxes), also delivering advanced solutions, targeting mechatronics (Additive Manufacturing, Laser Cladding, Disassembly/Aeassembly), Social Sciences and Humanities (SSHs) and Digital Systems (digital twins, simulation models).

Innovation in the
Remanufacturing Strategy

Innovation

Throughout the Project cross-dimensions, results from project demo cases will be integrated by dedicated, machine learning-based cognitive mechatronics and for process and quality control systems, the R3-MYDAS marketplace for selling/buying remanufactured products/services/components, according to the Digital Passport rationale, novel methodologies for integration of SSH and environmental sciences.

The technological innovation comes with changes in roles and skills needed by professionals and operators in the targeted sector and with logistic changes in the productive layout/process. Thus, training and skills aspects need to be considered, together with the design of the system to deliver a novel solution, that can be applied in the real world and accepted by the workforce and the end-users. Project demo cases will act as lighthouses for future cases and potential replications, mainstreaming remanufacturing of energy goods in Europe.
