The Rome Future Week 2026 brought together businesses,
innovators, researchers and investors to discuss the future of European
hashtag#manufacturing and the challenges and opportunities arising from the
digital and green transition.
Among the key topics addressed was the crucial role of education, skills development
and lifelong learning in supporting the transformation of manufacturing. As new
technologies reshape industrial processes, upskilling, reskilling and knowledge
transfer are becoming increasingly important to help workers and organisations adapt
to more digital, sustainable and human-centred production environments.
In this context, the event provided an opportunity to present and promote four
European projects — VICTOR-XR, UPRAISE, R3-MYDAS
and SM4Rtenance — highlighting their contributions to innovation, skills
development and the future of European manufacturing.
For R3-MYDAS, the event was an opportunity to showcase the
project's contribution to more sustainable and innovative manufacturing through
advanced approaches to remanufacturing, skills development and knowledge transfer.
By connecting research, industry and education, initiatives such as hashtag#R3MYDAS contribute to building the competences and
solutions needed for a more resilient, digital and sustainable European
manufacturing sector.
